Founded in 1987 by Larry Moore, Calcium Products began with a visionary goal: to improve soil health and crop performance using high-quality, calcium-based fertilizers. What started as a creative use of waste material from a livestock-grade calcium carbonate operation evolved into one of the Midwest’s first pelletizing operations – paving the way for what the company is today.

From its deep roots in Gilmore City, IA, Calcium Products now manufactures two cornerstone products: 98G pelletized limestone and SO4 pelletized gypsum. These products help farmers correct soil pH, provide essential calcium and sulfur, and improve soil structure – leading to healthier crops and more efficient nutrient uptake.

Fun Fact: The company’s flagship product, 98G, gets its name from the 98% pure limestone extracted from the “Moore Quarry.” This geologic gem was pushed closer to the surface some 75 million years ago by a meteorite, making it one of the purest limestone deposits in North America.
