The SDABA provides the following benefits and services to its members:

1. Executive Director in Pierre representing the Association's interests during the legislative session and interim meetings.

2. Sponsorship of AG EXPO in January of each year.

3. Newsletters to inform the membership of current topics of interest, changes in regulations, new legislation, etc.

4. A membership directory every other year.

5. Scholarships to students at South Dakota State University majoring in an agricultural related field.

6. Postsecondary AgEd scholarships to students at Technical Institutes majoring in an agricultural related field.

7. Promotion and protection of the industry through its relationship with The Fertilizer Institute, American Crop Protection Association, and the Agricultural Retailers Association.

8. Oversight of regulatory issues by working closely with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources and South Dakota Department of Agriculture.

9. Liaison between dealers and state agencies to get complex questions answered.

10. Funding for Ag in the Classroom and Cooperative Extension Service publications.

11. Sponsorship of the Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) program.

12. Regulatory Updates to members each spring.
